Concealed in the mountains, on the western end of Grand Riviere a village on the north – eastern coast of Trinidad lays two beautiful enchanting waterfalls the first being Homard falls and the second Lacatang Falls.
This hike begins on the road just beyond the outskirts of the village. As we embark on your journey we meet a comparatively gentle uphill, then alternating between wide and narrow benching. On top of the hill, we trek down some manmade steps till we arrive at the base of Homard Falls. This fall is approximately 30 to 40 feet in height and has a cozy and unperturbed pool that you can sit in and be rejuvenated. Above veiled by time lies Lacatang Falls, after a short trek up a stony river bank you will arrive at Lacatang Falls, ideal for taking a dip and allow yourself to commune with nature’s essence.
