The hike begins just off the Macaqripe road into a wide open trail until you stumble upon some old military bunkers filled with old voting machine. After a quick trip into history we continue on the road until it quickly vanished into a nature trail, from here the hike really begins. A steady incline awaits you as you ascend up the mountain, from this point you will hear the sounds of the howler monkeys and hikers trying to catch their breath as there make their way up this might back breaker of a hill. As we journey closer to the top the air becomes cooler and the hill upsides, we then step off the trail and back on the road again. From hear we talk a short walk to the base of the Mount St Catherine.
