The hike to Aripo Cave starts at the end of the road, situated about a mile past the village. The uphill trek can be difficult at times and will take 2hrs through pristine forest. The terrain is hilly with a few valleys and streams to cross. Located in the Heights of Aripo the Jurassic rocks which is made up of recrystallized limestone have formed several caves, the two most popular are Soho and Aripo Cave. The descent to the cave is surrounded by huge boulders and at the corridor visitors are greeted to the noisy sound of the oil birds. The return journey is mainly downhill .
